Working On

Here is what I am working on for my essays:

While I thought the overall essay was pretty good, I feel like some of the sentence structure was a little awkward and that some of the sentences were a bit wordy.  Although my conclusion was detailed, long enough, and not a complete restatement of my thesis, I feel as if it is too general and needs to be more complex.  Furthermore, my thesis statements need to be less pedestrian and make my point clear, by maybe even shocking or causing the reader to ponder about the subject matter.

Most importantly, the title is quite average! (not really important)

Working On 2:

I think that I wrote quite a good essay, but a portion of it differed from what the prompt directly asked for.  While I did think my sentence structure was much improved from the last essay, I feel that once in awhile I jump from one idea to another too quickly and that some of my sentences are still a bit wordy.  I also need to make sure that my body paragraphs are equally as strong, or as close to equal as I can possibly get them.  In this essay, my Claudius paragraph was much better organized and written compared to my shorter Gertrude paragraph.  Finally, I feel that I need to come up with more original analysis, instead of repeating the same analysis in different words (happened once.)

  1. What more than anything else would you like to improve on in your next essay? Sentence writing? Ideas?
